Andre Onana from Inter Milan is about to join the Red Devils, according to reports. To sign the former Ajax custodian, they have reached an initial agreement of €50 million.
It is obvious that Hojlund is the top target for manager Erik ten Hag after he arrives, and the club hierarchy will concentrate on pursuing a new center-forward after his arrival.
According to recent reports, Atalanta are not under any pressure to part with their prized asset, and United will have to offer them close to €60 million to get them to think about doing so.
El Bilal Traore of Almeria, who could replace him, and the Serie A team have reached a personal agreement, but the La Liga team won’t sell him for a low price.
According to a previous report, Almeria wants €40 million in exchange for their release of the Mali international.
Hojlund has the potential to become an elite striker. Earlier this summer, United was heavily linked with a move for Harry Kane, but Spurs made it clear that they wouldn’t talk to a direct Premier League rival.
Hojlund is now the focus of United due to this. A successful club season for the Dane in 2022–23. For both Sturm Graz and Atalanta, he scored 16 goals and provided seven assists.
Atalanta was the source of 14 of those goal-contributing shots. In the middle of August, he signed with the Serie A team, but it wasn’t until the New Year that he started for them regularly.
Despite having average statistics, he has a tonne of potential. Last term, there were hints of it.
The 20-year-old has good speed on the counter-attack and a strong aerial and physical presence. In the opponent’s box, he also has good vision.
Due to the way he plays, Hojlund, a left-footed striker, has been compared to Erling Haaland. We believe that he has the potential to develop into a powerful goal scorer.
In order for him to participate in preseason with United, United must sign him as soon as possible. Otherwise, the Dane might need more time, like he did at Atlanta, to adjust.
Hojlund has already “promised” to join United, so hopefully the transfer can be completed quickly.
