Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will complete a transfer to Ligue 1 Marseille after Chelsea’s preseason match against Brighton in America.
Aubameyang, 34, joined Chelsea for £12 million from Barcelona last season but only made a few appearances. It was never really anticipated that the former Arsenal player would be a part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for Chelsea this upcoming season.
In a post titled “Told Pierre Aubameyang is undergoing medical tests as a new OM player,” football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano stated. Auba arrived in Germany last night, and he is currently undergoing a medical exam before signing a contract through 2026. from Chelsea, free transfer.
The Blues and Brighton are still in contact regarding Moises Caicedo, a midfielder. Pochettino’s top transfer target is the Albion star, who is reportedly wanted by Chelsea for £80 million. However, Brighton is standing firm at £100 million.
This Saturday in Philadelphia as part of the Premier League Summer Series, Chelsea will face Brighton. Brighton will then face Newcastle in New Jersey after playing Brentford in Atlanta. On Thursday, July 27, Chelsea will also face Newcastle, and on July 30, Fulham, to round out their trip to the United States.
