After attempting for weeks, Manchester United finally reached an agreement with Ajax to hire Brazilian international Antony.

The 100 million euro (£85.5 million) cost is generally known, and David McDonnel has disclosed additional contract information.

The Samba winger will make £52 million over the next five years thanks to a contract that Man United and the player have agreed to.

Erik ten Hag’s main goal was to acquire Antony in order to bolster the attacking unit, and after having several offers turned down, the Dutch manager has finally succeeded.

The 22-year-old made a huge impression under the 52-year-old coach, winning two Eredivisie championships in as many years. Will he be popular at Old Trafford is the big question.

Jadon Sancho, an England international, struggled and only managed to score 5 goals in his first season with Man United last year despite the club spending a lot of money to sign him from Borussia Dortmund.

Wingers like Salah, Mane, Mahrez, and Sterling have consistently scored and assisted in goal for their respective clubs in the Premier League over the years. If the Red Devils want to contend for the championship, their wingers must make similar contributions.

Last season, Antony surpassed double digits in both goals scored and assists provided; if he can continue this form at Manchester United, the squad will succeed.
