Despite their support for Ryan Gravenberch, Liverpool is still focused on signing Manu Kone.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, this is the case. This morning, Romano claimed that while Liverpool “appreciate” Gravenberch, he isn’t currently at the top of their list in his most recent column for CaughtOffside.

It is unclear if Bayern Munich will relent in their refusal to sell the 21-year-old. Romano claims that discussions between the player, club, and manager will occur “soon.”

However, it appears that Liverpool will concentrate their efforts on signing Kone and his teammate Khephren Thuram for the France U21 squad in the interim.

Liverpool definitely appreciate Gravenberch. Their attention is still on Manu Kone and Khephren Thuram for the time being, according to Romano. Bayern’s stance is crucial for Gravenberch because they don’t want to sell him, but discussions with the player, the club, and manager Thomas Tuchel will soon take place to clarify the situation.

Liverpool is still anticipating the next step.
It’s a little confusing how Liverpool feels about these three players. Since Alexis Mac Allister was signed two weeks ago today, there hasn’t been much progress.

The most perplexing of all is the Kone case in particular. It doesn’t seem like a difficult deal to complete given that Borussia Monchengladbach appears willing to sell for as little as £26 million. That seems like the kind of deal the Reds are looking for in a player whose abilities have been called “phenomenal.”

Additionally, discussions have reportedly been going on with Kone’s representatives for the past few weeks. You wouldn’t have imagined that Liverpool would be challenging for him to sell.

However, nothing has advanced.

Likewise, Thuram and Gravenberch, whose representatives have also been contacted, are correct. Although it is said that both players are eager to join Liverpool, there have been no real encouraging developments. The Reds ought to have their ducks in a row by now, right?

They appear to be awaiting a different opportunity, though. Thuram may very well be a priority, but the other two seem to be alternatives. They might not have seen the player they really want just yet. They have Kone and then Gravenberch on hand in case anything goes wrong as they negotiate behind closed doors.

Of course, all of this is just conjecture, but until we have more information, that’s all any of us can do! Reds, let’s advance this party.
