‘Willing to do business’: Arsenal may be open to selling ‘phenomenal’ £40m man to Chelsea – journalist

According to reports that the striker has spoken with the Blues, journalist Chris Wheatley appears to have suggested that Arsenal would be willing to work with Chelsea in order to sign Folarin Balogun.

In the midst of uncertainty about his future at the Emirates, Wheatley discussed the USMNT international team on The Chris Wheatley Show.

Most people wouldn’t be shocked if Folarin Balogun left Arsenal this summer. The 22-year-old is reportedly not eager to sign a new deal and does not want to go out on loan once more, according to earlier reports from The Athletic.

Balogun could be sold to Chelsea by Arsenal.
Being that Gabriel Jesus is already a member of the team, it will be very difficult for Arsenal to give Balogun the guarantees he might be seeking.

According to reports from Football Transfers, Balogun has discussed a potential transfer with Chelsea.

That might make some Gunners supporters queasy. However, the two clubs have recently engaged in a lot of business, with Kai Havertz moving to Arsenal as part of the most recent agreement.

Wheatley also seemed to imply that Arsenal might be open to the idea of letting Balogun join Chelsea for the right price while discussing Balogun’s predicament.

“We’ve already mentioned that Balogun is interested in signing with Leipzig and AC Milan. There are still a few. Chelsea is arguably the most intriguing team. In the past few days, they have reappeared. We are aware that Mauricio Pochettino plans to strengthen his team this summer. And Flo Balogun, in my opinion, is a player who would complement his style of play. Again, he is for sale for a reasonable £40 million price, he said on The Chris Wheatley Show.

“Arsenal would also be open to doing business. Offers for Flo Balogun are welcome. But once more, they have a price for him and they will not change it.

Arsenal is likely aware that not many teams will be willing to spend £40 million on Balogun. His ‘phenomenal’ run in Ligue 1 has more than demonstrated his abilities. He hasn’t yet put himself to the test in one of the top leagues, though.

Arsenal may believe that taking the risk is worthwhile if Chelsea is willing to pay that kind of money for Balogun. Cashing out may make a lot of sense if he has no intention of staying, barring assurances.

It’s possible that the Gunners have additional plans for this window for which they need to raise money. Additionally, the value of Balogun is currently very high.

They have received justification for their recent ruthless actions. Perhaps Arsenal believes that it would be in their best interests to allow the forward to possibly join Chelsea.
