According to reports, Arsenal is eager to sign Brazilian star Gabriel Martinelli to a new contract before the World Cup begins.
This season, the Gunners have started the year strongly, with all of the new players they brought in during the transfer window already having a significant impact on the team.
Martinelli, a player who has been at the Emirates for a few years, has been really impressing at the start of the new season and looks like a lad with a bright future ahead of him.
Martinelli is set to receive a massive pay rise as he continues to impress at the Emirates following his impressive start to the new season and all the rumours that Chelsea are interested in a deal.
According to reports, talks have begun to ensure that the Brazil international stays at the Emirates for many years to come.
According to reports, Arsenal will need to increase their £70,000-per-week offer to around £200,000-per-week in order for the Brazilian to commit his future to the club once more.
In the midst of the speculation, journalist Peter O’Rourke claims that Arsenal will be eager to sign Martinelli – and a couple of other stars – to new contracts before the World Cup begins.
“Yeah, I think it’ll be in Arsenal’s plans to get those players sorted out and tied down to new contracts,” the journalist told GIVEMESPORT.
“Obviously, Bukayo Saka has been in superb form for Arsenal this season, as have Martinelli and Saliba, so I’m sure Mikel Arteta will demand that the club secure these players new contracts, but it appears that other clubs are interested in the players.”
