Arsenal midfielder William Saliba has been told that he will’stay’ at the Emirates Stadium.
After being loaned out for a couple of seasons and impressing in French football, the Gunners board decided to bring him back and finally give him a chance in the side.
Saliba was named the best young defender in the French League last season, and he has continued to impress this season, with his defensive performances propelling Arsenal to the top of the Premier League.
Arsenal is aware that there is a lot of interest in the player, and that interest will grow in the coming months as he continues to impress on a weekly basis, so they are now eager to ensure that he signs a new contract.
And, with his contract set to expire in two years, the Premier League’s leaders want to lock him down for the foreseeable future as soon as possible – a deal that journalist Robin Bairner believes will take place.
Bairner believes Saliba will commit his future to Arsenal by signing a new contract rather than contemplating a move elsewhere – “I think he’ll stay at Arsenal,” Bairner told GIVEMESPORT. I don’t have any evidence to suggest otherwise.
“He’s done well.”
