According to a report from Calciomercato (via Sport Witness), Manchester United will compete with a number of other clubs to sign Marcus Thuram this summer. The player will “soon decide” his future.
Marcus Thuram is being acquired by Manchester United.
Though his team has struggled to move into the top half of the Bundesliga standings and is currently in 11th place, the Borussia Monchengladbach player has arguably had his best season to date.
The forward has accomplished an impressive feat thus far this year, contributing an average of 0.70 goals per 90 minutes with 13 goals and 6 assists. That’s despite a disappointing season last year that saw only nine starts and three goals.
He is currently performing admirably in Germany and is back to his best. Even though he has only played 149 minutes combined during the World Cup and European Championship, his performances have led to appearances for France.
In advance of the summer transfer window, there now appears to be strong interest in the player. The attacker is sought after by several clubs, including Inter and Man United, according to Calciomercato (via Sport Witness).
The Italian team had been expected to sign him when the season is over, but with the Red Devils entering the picture, the competition is now expected to heat up for the player. It also states that Thuram will soon make a decision about where he will play after this season, and it appears that he may have a choice as to where he plays football in the following year.
His contract is also about to expire, so he might be available for nothing.

The forward may have a difficult decision to make because, according to reports, he is interested in joining a “dream club” that includes both Inter and Premier League heavyweights, including both clubs’ competitors for his services. Then, it appears Thuram might face a challenging decision regarding his upcoming transfer deal.
Marcus Thuram is available to sign this summer.
The Frenchman has gained notoriety as a result of his performances in Germany; with a 7.10 WhoScored rating in the Bundesliga, he is one of the division’s standout players this season.
Denis Zakaria previously referred to him as “crazy,” and his former teammate added that he is a “phenomenal” player – and the numbers don’t lie.
He’s been able to create shooting opportunities for himself, as evidenced by his rate of 3.1 shots per game this season, and given his goal rate, he’s shown to be proficient when he does take those shots. In fact, he attempts the most shots of any Bundesliga player among those who have appeared at least 18 times.
Therefore, if Erik ten Hag’s team can acquire Thuram, it would be a good acquisition and would provide some much-needed goals for their forward line.
