With an initial proposal of €20 million (£17.2 million), Arsenal have made their first attempt to recruit Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey.
The French defender has recently been mentioned as a possible target at the Emirates Stadium. After a season marred by injuries for Takehiro Tomiyasu, Mikel Arteta is rumoured to be pondering a summer transfer for a new right-back.
Ben White, a natural center-back, has started every game this year on Arteta’s right side of the defence. However, the Gunners manager moved White back into his favoured position in the most recent games after William Saliba’s season-ending injury in March.
Tomiyasu missed 17 games throughout this season. Due to the injury worries surrounding the Japanese international, a second right-back might perhaps be added this summer.
Boey, who recently assisted Galatasaray in winning the Super Lig championship, has been heavily linked with a transfer to the Premier League after settling in quickly after signing from Rennes in 2021.
Additionally, Arsenal has made an initial offer for the 22-year-old player of €20 million (£17.2 million), according to the Turkish publication Turkiye Gazetesi, and is “determined to finalise the transfer.”
However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the north Londoners have not yet made any proposals. Despite speculations, he stated on Twitter that Arsenal had not yet made a proposal for Sacha Boey. As far as I know, there was no negotiation with his new representatives; they were merely one of many players that were admired.
As a result of Boey’s signing with CAA Stellar, Arsenal is in a good position to acquire him. The agency oversaw a number of high-profile transfers in recent years, including Eduardo Camavinga’s fantasy transfer to Real Madrid and Jack Grealish’s £100 million move to Manchester City.
