There is a very serious probability that Arsenal may move through with their reported interest in Joao Cancelo of Manchester City.
Arsenal is reportedly interested in Cancelo as they aim to bolster their roster with another star player.
Mikel Arteta wants more quality and believes that Cancelo can improve the starting lineup after his team finished second to Man City.
Additionally, negotiations and contact have reportedly taken place between the parties, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Romano brought up Arsenal and Cancelo when addressing a variety of transfer-related problems with GiveMeSport.
Although there is no contract in place for the Portuguese full-back, Romano did clarify that Arsenal has been in contact with the appropriate parties about making a transaction.
“In regards to Cancelo, they are intrigued. They have a good relationship with these agencies and have had some communication with them. Therefore, the option of signing Cancelo was discussed,” Romano added.
We’ll never know how far the discussions actually went. However, the Gunners now have a chance because Bayern decided not to exercise their option to acquire Cancelo.
Cancelo is being let go by City after a number of successful seasons. Pep Guardiola called him to have “incredible” quality.
One to act swiftly, Arsenal would undoubtedly like having Cancelo in their lineup. He has expertise winning significant awards and is a skilled operator.
On the surface, he appears to be a perfect fit for the kind of play Mikel Arteta plays for Arsenal. He is adaptable when needed and can move inside, attack, and defend.
Following last year, City might not be as willing to transfer their players to Arsenal this summer. However, Cancelo is about to go, so a deal might be reached if the Gunners are prepared to pay.
