According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal is anticipated to make a move for Declan Rice of West Ham United “very soon.”

What’s new with Declan Rice going to Arsenal?

Rice wants to move to the Emirates Stadium, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs, who recently stated that Arsenal might finalise a deal for him “quickly.” However, Jacobs does not fully rule out that another team will ultimately sign Rice.

The 24-year-old is expected to receive a “disciplined” approach from the Gunners in their pursuit of him, according to Jacobs, and “all signs point towards” a summer transfer to north London. The starting bid is expected to be less than £100 million.

Personal terms have supposedly already been settled, so the only thing left to do is make West Ham a reasonable offer. According to a recent update from Romano, a bid may soon be on its way.

The transfer analyst expressed great optimism on Twitter about the Gunners’ pursuit of the midfielder, writing that “Arsenal will enter into crucial stages of Declan Rice deal next week.” After successful conversations in recent days, an official bid is anticipated very shortly.

Although timing will be important for Arsenal, the Gunners believe they are ahead of Bayern because their players’ top priority is to stay in England.

Rice is joining Arsenal, right?

The England international has previously stated his desire to remain in London and his want to play in the Champions League and contend for championships, so a move to the Emirates Stadium would appear to tick many of his boxes.

The West Ham captain, of course, received his first major trophy when his team won the Europa Conference League last weekend, ensuring their qualification for the Europa League the following year.

The fact that European football will once again be played at the London Stadium may cause the London-born midfielder to reconsider leaving, however West Ham chairman David Sullivan recently revealed the player had made up his mind to leave.

Having been dubbed as “incredible” by the media, Arsenal will be acquiring a great player if they win the hunt for the £60k per week midfielder if he leaves this summer as expected.

In addition to ranking very highly for some important defensive metrics over the past year, such as interceptions and clearances per 90, there is also evidence that Rice could pose a threat on the offensive end given Jack Wilshere’s recent remark that Rice was the “best finisher” at West Ham.
