The future of Thomas Partey will have a major impact on Arsenal’s ability to sign Moises Caicedo this summer from Brighton.

Partey is considering offers from Saudi Arabia and Europe, and Mikel Arteta appears willing to allow the Ghanaian star to leave this summer.

Granit Xhaka’s impending departure would create yet another hole in the middle for Arsenal, who are already looking to sign new midfielders.

Furthermore, a transfer for Brighton’s Caicedo should still be considered, claims The Telegraph.

Moises Caicedo is still a candidate for Arsenal.
The Telegraph once more mentions Arsenal, despite recent reports suggesting that Chelsea will win the race for the Brighton man.

According to rumours, Caicedo will suddenly become a competitive option for the Gunners if Thomas Partey decides to leave.

Of course, they are already attempting to sign Romeo Lavia from Southampton and Declan Rice from West Ham. It appeared that those two would be the primary midfield recruits.

But it appears as though Caicedo might be back on the radar now that Partey’s future is uncertain.

Arsenal tried unsuccessfully to acquire the Ecuadorian in January, but Brighton is rumoured to be prepared to sell this summer for anything up to £70 million.

potential champions
Without a doubt, Arsenal would have a great chance of winning the title if they were able to sign both Rice and Caicedo.

There may never be a better time for Arsenal to score with Man City losing players and in a bit of transition after finally winning the treble.

Caicedo has been “fantastic” for Brighton, and Mikel Arteta would have a winning combination if Arsenal acquired him, along with Rice and Lavia.
