Piers Morgan is still not satisfied and wants the Gunners to sign Victor Osimhen next, despite the fact that Arsenal is about to sign Declan Rice for a club record fee this summer.
With Rice as their top priority, Mikel Arteta and Edu walked up to the window. For months, they have been eager to sign him, and it appears that will happen very soon.
Every Arsenal supporter is ecstatic right now, with the exception of Morgan, who wants Stan Kroenke to approve yet another historic acquisition, this time of Osimhen from Napoli.
Piers Morgan advises Arsenal to sign Victor Osimhen after acquiring Declan Rice. Last season, Arsenal came extremely close to winning the Premier League.
In the end, the Gunners trailed Manchester City by just five points, and their squad’s lack of depth is the main factor in why they were unable to win the title.
At the end of the previous year, Morgan did his best to convince Arsenal to make a bid for Cristiano Ronaldo. He continues to insist that the Gunners require a prolific striker and is back at it on Twitter.
The 58-year-old has urged the Gunners to pursue Osimhen once the Rice deal is finalised.
He wrote: “It’s fantastic that @_DeclanRice, who will be a monstrously good addition to the team, appears to have been signed by Arsenal.
But a world-class striker who will score 25+ goals a season is also necessary if we hope to take home significant trophies. For @victorosimhen9, I would spend extravagantly.
He’ll cost more than Rice, for sure.
The best striker in Serie A is probably Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian’s 31 goals and five assists last season were a major factor in Napoli’s first Serie A championship in more than three decades.
Osimhen is reportedly valued at an eye-watering £150 million (Daily Mail), which is entirely reasonable given the Partenopei’s right to demand anything they want this summer.
Although anything is possible in football, there is virtually no chance that Arsenal will spend that much money to sign Osimhen this summer.
