After coming to terms to sign Mason Mount, Manchester United has now made a new striker their top priority.

The Red Devils appear to be on track to sign Mount for a total of £60 million. Three offers from United were made for the 24-year-old in recent weeks, but a deal has finally been reached.
On Thursday afternoon, Fabrizio Romano uttered his infamous “here we go” to signal the transfer, with Mount expected to begin receiving a salary of about £250,000 per week in Manchester.
The international from England, though, might not be the only addition this season…

On Thursday night, after news of Mount’s impending transfer broke, Sky Sports reporter Mark McAdam provided a transfer update from Old Trafford. He claimed that the Red Devils’ top target right now is a new center-forward, and that the team is also interested in right center-backs and a new goalkeeper.
Throughout this summer, Manchester United is still actively seeking to add players.
Erik ten Hag and his backroom staff are concentrating on finding a number nine because they need a striker who can play through the middle and score goals like Marcus Rashford did last season.
They have also been considering right centre backs. They had been linked to Kim Min-jae in the early days of the summer transfer window, but we all know he won’t be going to Old Trafford because he seems more likely to go to Bayern Munich.

Ten Hag has money this summer despite the ongoing takeover dispute, so money could be spent on a new star striker.
While Man United was rumoured to be leading the race for Goncalo Ramos of Benfica and contact was made for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani, an ambitious move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe has been suggested.
It could be a busy few months in the market, with Mount seemingly set to be the first player through the door. At center-back, AS Monaco’s Axel Disasi has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with United in pole position ahead of several other sides for the French defender.
