Manchester United players reportedly believe Ralf Rangnick’s training sessions have worsened.

The end of the season can’t come quick enough for the Red Devils, who were humiliated by Brighton last weekend.

Man united are in limbo until Erik ten Hag takes over in the summer, with interim manager Rangnick taking on a consultancy role while managing the Austria national team.

The Dutchman is expected to oversee a major overhaul, with as many as 12 players leaving Old Trafford during the upcoming transfer window. That means there are several uncomfortable players in the dressing room, which has harmed the club’s culture.

The mood, according to The Daily Mail, is “totally flat” as Rangnick’s tenure winds down. According to the report, the players are dissatisfied with the training provided by Rangnick’s coaches Chris Armas and Ewan Sharp, who they believe is ‘being below’ the standard set by their predecessors Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna.

According to The Athletic, players, particularly Armas and Sharp, have been critical of the coaching staff for some time.

It is claimed that sessions leading up to their humiliating 4-0 defeat at Brighton included no detailed instructions on how Graham Potter’s side would play as they humbled United.

Rangnick decided to give the team four days off, with the Red Devils not playing again until the final game of the season, next Sunday against Crystal Palace, but some players disagreed, citing the fact that there was still plenty to work on.

When they returned to training this week, these rumblings erupted, with two players allegedly involved in a fight during Thursday’s session at Carrington.

According to the Sun, an unnamed pair got into a “massive scrap” near the end of the Red Devils’ training session. Rangnick was forced to bring the squad back to the dressing room and cancel the session as the situation began to deteriorate, leaving United players’stunned.’
United have 15 players that will be out of contract in the next 18 months, and Rangnick is well aware of the changes required to get the club to where it wants to go.
