Barcelona signed Mikayil Faye from Croatia’s second division team NK Kustosija on Monday, making him the club’s first summer transfer acquisition.
Faye, who is 18 years old, is anticipated to join the first team during preseason, but he will probably play for Rafael Marquez’s Barca Athletic team in 2023–24.
After finalising that agreement, Barcelona is moving forward with their second summer acquisition. They are in advanced negotiations to sign Eman Kospo, a player for the Swiss team Grasshoppers Club Zurich, according to Albert Roge (via Sport).
Kospo, a centre back who is just 16 years old, is highly regarded. If he were to sign, he would play for Barcelona’s U19 team with the intention of moving up the ranks over the following few years.
Barcelona will be happy to be moving to sign exciting young players for the summer, but their fans will be miffed that there doesn’t seem to be much movement in first team transfers.
