Liverpool fans are aware that Mo Salah is a genuine friend, but they will be surprised by the greeting he gave to Sergio Ramos this evening at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai.

The Egyptian King has a history with the former Real Madrid defender, having been the victim of a vicious challenge from the Spaniard during the 2018 Champions League final in Kiev, forcing him to leave with a shoulder injury.

Jurgen Klopp’s side would go on to lose the game 3-1 to Los Blancos, forcing our No. 11 to sit out the rest of the game.

Salah would, of course, go on to win Europe’s most prestigious trophy the following year, and it appears that the 30-year-old has moved on from the incident after offering a friendly hug to PSG’s star this evening.

The former Chelsea and Roma winger is vying for the TikTok award for Best Player as voted on by the fans.

Karim Benzema, Thibaut Courtois, Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo are among the other finalists.

The Premier League Golden Boot winner is also in the running for the Men’s Best Player award, where he will face off against Benzema and Haaland.
