Liverpool have been linked with Croatian international Luka Sucic for some time, and the latest reports indicate that they may be able to sign him soon.
SN reported in August that the Reds were interested in signing the young midfielder from RB Salzburg during the summer transfer window. However, the relocation did not take place.
Today, Corriere Dello Sport (press image below) looked at the youngsters who have traveled to Qatar for the World Cup and are linked with top clubs.
Sucic is known as the “New Modric” in Croatia, and he is highly regarded by Juventus, Lazio, and Serie A champions, AC Milan.
The renowned media, however, has reported that Liverpool could soon ‘outwit competition’ with a significant offer to sign the 20-year-old midfielder.
The four-cap international has proven to be effective for RB Salzburg in central and attacking midfield roles, and he directly contributed to 16 goals in all competitions last season.
Sucic has been in and out of the squad this season due to injury concerns, and he has provided four assists in 10 league starts for the Austrian side.
Liverpool must upgrade their aging midfield as soon as possible. They have struggled this season due to multiple injury concerns in the center of the field, as well as inconsistency among senior/veteran players.
Sucic’s current contract with RB Salzburg expires in the summer of 2025, and he is worth around £17.4 million. Should Liverpool spend £17.4 million on him in January?
Sure,it would do them some good
