Moises Caicedo of Brighton has ‘liked’ a tweet claiming that he is set to join Liverpool.
The Reds have been heavily linked with the 21-year-old in recent months as they look for midfield reinforcements. And his latest Twitter activity is unlikely to put an end to the rumors.
Caicedo took to Twitter yesterday to give away two autographed Brighton shirts to his followers. In the comments, an account called Marcos Fabricio Espi weighed in on the midfielder’s future.
“All right, champion… Liverpool is waiting for you…” He communicated in Spanish. Caicedo immediately ‘liked’ the post. Interesting. That is very intriguing.
Caicedo’s social media activity has sparked controversy in Liverpool before.
The Ecuadorian sparked interest among Reds fans when he ‘liked’ Cody Gakpo’s recent Liverpool debut on Instagram.
Of course, this could mean absolutely nothing. Caicedo has every right to respond to whoever writes to him in any way he sees fit. He did, however, ‘like’ posts from a large number of other commenters.
It’s possible that the Brighton man didn’t even read some of the comments he liked. However, given the numerous reports claiming he is being pursued by Liverpool, it appears to be a coincidence.
