Liverpool are now in talks to sell defender Nat Phillips in the last week of the January transfer window, according to MailOnline.
As per the report, the Reds are trying to offload the 25-year-old before the window slams shut on Tuesday.
The centre-back is currently fifth choice at Anfield, and he has only played 66 minutes of Premier League football this term.
As a result, Phillips is likely willing to leave the club in search of regular first-team football; something which has been touted for a number of seasons now.
According to The Athletic’s James Pearce, the former Bournemouth loanee attracted interest from the likes of the Cherries, Burnley, Southampton and Benfica last summer.

Earlier this week, Liverpool recalled defender Rhys Williams from his loan spell with Blackpool.
He has subsequently gone straight into Jurgen Klopp’s first-team squad.
This is a huge sign Phillips is off this month, as this move would otherwise be very much out of the blue.
However, it will be a shame to see the 25-year-old leave. He has become a fan-favourite on Merseyside in recent years, having been a reliable asset for the side throughout an injury crisis which plagued the defence during the 2020/21 season.
Phillips was lavished for his ‘superb’ efforts whilst on loan at Stuttgart before, so it is only right he is given the opportunity to play regular first-team football elsewhere.
