In the summer transfer window, Arsenal got going right away.
Declan Rice and Kai Havertz reportedly have transfer plans under consideration at the Gunners.
Additionally, William Saliba’s long-term future is all but guaranteed for Arsenal.
The Gunners are reportedly offering “in excess of £55 million” for Havertz, according to a recent report in The Times.
Additionally, Havertz, who appears open to a move to Arsenal, “personal terms are not expected to be an issue.”
In our opinion
Regarding the contract and transfer activity involving the Gunners, we’ve been hearing a lot of good things.
This most recent report, which asserts Arsenal will soon submit a formal offer for Havertz, seems to be more of the same.
Clearly, the Gunners won’t be making any significant offers right away. They’ll test the waters before moving forward.
Havertz is reportedly worth around £75 million to Chelsea. Fabrizio Romano says that Arsenal won’t spend that much.
Declan Rice appears to have received the same treatment from the Gunners.
West Ham reportedly flatly rejected an opening offer from Arsenal.
The Gunners have plenty of time to try and reach an agreement with the clubs regarding their players.
We must obviously take into account the possibility of any other teams entering and completely outclassing Arsenal.
The Gunners, however, will undoubtedly have gained knowledge from the Mykhaylo Mudryk controversy back in January.
Given his talent, youth, and experience at the highest level, Havertz would be a great addition to the Gunners.
He developed at Bayer Leverkusen into “one of the best players in Europe” from “an exciting young prospect.”
You get the impression that Mikel Arteta will be able to maximise Havertz’s potential, which Chelsea hasn’t quite been able to do.
