This summer, Chelsea might be interested in signing Juventus center-back Gleison Bremer.
According to Calciomercato, that is.
Chelsea and Manchester United are allegedly “particularly interested” in a move for Gleison Bremer, according to an Italian publication.
It is understood that if they receive an offer over €60 million (£51 million), Italian powerhouse Juventus will need to carefully consider selling the highly regarded defender.
Bremer, who only moved to Juventus from Torino last summer, had a standout first season in the black and white stripes.
The all-action center-half from Brazil, known as the “incredible,” has established a solid reputation in recent seasons in Serie A.
But is he now destined to play in the English Premier League for a while?
Last June, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea made an attempt to sign Bremer from Torino.
The South American center-half eventually joined Juventus during the summer transfer window.
Bremer shouldn’t be at the top of Chelsea’s list of summer transfer targets despite his obvious talent.
Prior to the start of the new season, the Blues already have a number of top-notch centre backs, but they are deficient in other areas of the field.
This summer, it would be ideal if Chelsea gave the acquisition of a new centre forward, defensive midfielder, and goalkeeper top priority.
Once fellow Brazilian Thiago Silva hangs up his boots, Chelsea might want to look back at Bremer.
