According to dependable journalist Simon Collings, Arsenal is preparing a fresh offer for West Ham United star Declan Rice and will continue talks.
Who will sign on with Arsenal this season?
Over the past few weeks, the Gunners have been actively seeking a deal for the Hammers captain, with Rice standing out as a top target.
Reliable media sources like Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth claim that Arsenal has already had several bids for the 24-year-old rejected, one of which was a club record.
Even so, it’s thought that Mikel Arteta’s team is “serious” about signing Rice this summer and is still optimistic that they can reach a deal with West Ham.
Ajax defender Jurrien Timber is reportedly close to joining Chelsea star Kai Havertz, who they have also reportedly agreed to sign along with Rice.
Romeo Lavia of Southampton is the subject of ongoing transfer negotiations, and while negotiations with his club are “progressing,” Arsenal is reportedly close to agreeing on personal terms with the 19-year-old.
Returning to Rice, Collings of The Evening Standard shared an update that the former Chelsea academy player will be the subject of more fervent interest from Arsenal.
His information indicates that the Gunners are preparing an improved and new offer for Rice after their second offer of £75 plus £15 million in add-ons was turned down.
Despite the player currently being on vacation after international duty, Arsenal is reportedly going to continue talks with West Ham in order to reach an agreement on a transfer. Personal terms are also not anticipated to be a problem.
What has Declan Rice been said?
The Three Lions star outperformed every West Ham player in terms of interceptions per 90 (WhoScored) last season, making him David Moyes’ standout performer.
He distinguished himself as their top performer by average match rating, and Matthew Upon, a former England and West Ham defender, praised his impressive maturity for someone so young.
“He has worked really hard at his game, both physically and technically,” said Upson.
“David Moyes included him in the starting lineup. Like with every football player, numerous people have contributed in small ways. But Declan’s greatest strength is that he was able to incorporate everything and improve himself.
For his age, he plays with a lot of maturity. He is an incredibly capable manager of responsibility, which is why he was the Premier League captain at such a young age.
“Players typically don’t develop their skills in that position until they are in their late 20s. Declan is currently playing at a level that is exceptional for someone his age.
