This summer, Chelsea might propose a “mega exchange” deal to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to Corriere della Sera (via SportWitness).
In order to strengthen their attack, the London giants recently acquired Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal, but manager Mauricio Pochettino is still on the lookout for another seasoned center-forward. Vlahovic has been mentioned recently, and Corriere della Serra reports that Chelsea may offer to trade for him.
Romelu Lukaku is currently viewed as unnecessary by Chelsea. There hasn’t been any progress in getting him back on a permanent basis for Inter Milan. Juventus is reportedly interested as well, and the Italian publication suggests that Lukaku could be used by Chelsea as a makeweight to acquire Vlahovic.

Lukaku was on loan to Inter during the most recent season. The Milan juggernauts are determined to re-sign him on a long-term contract after he performed admirably with 14 goals and 7 assists. Inter has not yet agreed to pay the Belgian’s £39 million asking price, and Chelsea appears unwilling to lower their demands for the striker.
This might make a swap deal with Juventus more likely. If Lukaku approves, Chelsea may use him as part of a trade to acquire Vlahovic, who is currently valued at £56 million. In doing so, Chelsea would save money and have the opportunity to get rid of one of their highest-paid players in Lukaku.
Since joining Juventus 18 months ago from Fiorentina, Vlahovic has struggled. In 63 games, he has accrued 23 goals and 6 assists. He was expected to perform much better. According to Corriere dello Sport, the Serbian is now prepared to leave Juventus and is eager to try another league in 2019.
Given that Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, is a fan, Chelsea might be his next stop. Vlahovic has demonstrated in the past that he can be a reliable goal scorer, and the Argentine is looking for another capable finisher in the box. He could be a top addition for the Blues if he can regain his form and confidence.
