If Liverpool is to compete on all fronts, they must address their aging midfield as soon as possible. They squandered their summer transfer window by luring an injury-prone Arthur on deadline day.

The Reds were heavily linked with England international Jude Bellingham, but he ended up staying with Borussia Dortmund.

Danny Murphy, a former Anfield player, has backed Liverpool to sign the Three Lions player, who would significantly strengthen Liverpool’s midfield.

According to the 45-year-old (via HITC),

“That would be a huge signing.” Because he is an attacking, goal-scoring midfielder, it would change the dynamic of the midfield. He’s a fantastic player. Some of his qualities for such a young man”

On Tuesday night, the £50,000-a-week star (Bild) delivered an outstanding performance against Copenhagen in the Champions League, scoring the game’s third goal.

Murphy went on to say:

“I actually liked his celebration when he scored last night. As if to say, ‘Here I am, take a look at me.'”

Danny is not the first person to suggest that Liverpool visit Bellingham. Former Arsenal player Paul Merson stated in July that the teenage sensation would be ideal for the Merseysiders.

Last month, however, journalist Dominic King suggested that the former Birmingham City midfielder would be an ideal signing for the Anfield club.

Liverpool’s midfield is currently in disarray, and to make matters worse, their backline has also been a disaster. Napoli humiliated us last night at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

If things do not improve quickly, Klopp’s side may not even qualify for the Champions League the following season, making luring a top-tier player like Jude Bellingham difficult. What are your thoughts?

  1. The Liverpool board and management are kind of stingy or not too serious with the progress of the team,if not,Bernardo silver was much available & Man.City were willing to let him go for a good price, why didn’t they go for him. Even getting Leroy Sane was another option, but noting came, now things are falling apart and we still have a very long way to go.
