Manchester United signed Antony from Ajax in the summer transfer window and now Ten Hag is interested in a reunion with Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech.

Judging by the media, the Moroccan international could leave the Blues in the winter transfer window.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Erik ten Hag’s first request for the January transfer window is to withdraw Ziyech’s services from the Stamford Bridge squad.

The news source mentioned that if Man Utd’s offer is good enough, Chelsea would accept his exit.

In the last window, the Premier League side were ready to sell the player back to the Dutch champions for £37m (The Mail), but the move didn’t materialise. The African playmaker was a superstar for Ajax, who won the domestic double in 2018/19 and reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals under current manager Old Trafford.

Since moving to London, however, he can no longer compete regularly. Last season he started just 14 Premier League games, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists.

In the current season, Ziyech, who can play effectively on both flanks and even as a CAM, has started just one game and played only 168 minutes in all competitions.

The 29-year-old will definitely have to leave Chelsea to play week after week. The 40-cap international’s current contract with the Blues expires in 2025 and he earns around £100,000 a week (The Sun).
