Joe Cole, a former Chelsea player, has praised Bukayo Saka and urged the Gunners to negotiate a new contract with the England international.
Saka has become one of the most exciting young players in the league over the previous two seasons, and the club has huge plans for him in the upcoming seasons.
However, there have been numerous speculations that Real Madrid, Man City, and Liverpool are all highly interested in trying to make some sort of trade in the upcoming transfer windows due to his consistent excellence on the field.
The Gunners have time to work on the Saka deal when the transfer season closed just a few days ago, and many people think a deal is imminent.
According to CIES Football Observatory, Saka is presently valued at up to €100 million (£87.5 million), but if he decides to leave the Gunners, they would probably seek much in excess of £100 million for one of their elite players.
You have to understand how young he is and where he is in his career, Cole said to BT Sport after the 1-0 victory against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League.
“What a gem Arsenal have here. He is one of the team’s leaders on the field and has a wealth of experience. He also accepts accountability.
In the 3-2 victory over Liverpool last weekend, Saka scored twice to help the Gunners retake first place in the Premier League from Man City. He then scored an important goal last night to defeat Bodo/Glimt.
“He’s a tremendous player, one that Arsenal have to tie down and develop this new regime, this new great side that looks to be blossoming,” Cole concluded (around him).
