Exciting news fans told Arsenal could lure’ £100 million star to Emirates in January

According to journalist Paul Brown, Arsenal could sign PSV Eindhoven midfielder Cody Gakpo in January.

Mikel Arteta was given significant funds to improve that squad during the summer transfer window, and they currently sit atop the Premier League after a stunning start to the season.

Arsenal were heavily linked with Gakpo during the transfer window, with the impressive attacker a viable option for the club, but they were unable to complete a deal.

Following his outstanding season last year, the Holland International was linked with moves to Manchester United, Chelsea, Leeds, and Southampton during the summer transfer window.

But, according to Brown, Arsena could entice Gakpo to join them during the winter transfer window. Brown told GIVEMESPORT: “Arsenal were certainly capable of signing him in the summer if they wanted to, but they didn’t really pursue it.”

“I don’t think it would be prohibitively expensive for them, so if they really wanted him, I think they could make it happen in January.”

And the claim follows the player’s own admission that he would welcome a move to the Premier League: “I always said if I stay here [at PSV], it’s my childhood club.” “It’s not a punishment,” he was quoted saying.

. “I enjoy being here, and I hope to win trophies and do my best for the club.” But if I had the opportunity to play in the Premier League or something, I would have to think about it.

Gakpo is a player with a bright future in the game, and Mikel Arteta has the potential to develop him into a true superstar.
