The Reds may have broken their transfer record by paying £85 million to lure Darwin Nunez away from Benfica in the summer, but manager Jurgen Klopp will have another chance to bring in reinforcements at the turn of the year.
According to Spanish sources, Liverpool is preparing to make a bid for Sulemana in order to beat Barcelona and Real Madrid to the services of the Rennes star.
According to the report, Klopp, whose side is already two points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal, has requested a January move for the winger compared to former Reds talisman Sadio Mane, with a bid worth close to £30 million on the table.
Sulemana only joined Rennes last year in a £17.3 million deal from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland, giving the Ligue 1 club a strong negotiating position.
This is due to the fact that the 20-year-contract, old’s which is worth just under £10,000 per week, is not set to expire until the summer of 2026.

The journalist, on the other hand, believes the wide-man could be an exciting long-term replacement for Salah at Liverpool.
“It’s a bit early, and I think he’s probably the type of player who needs another 18 months in Ligue 1,” Aarons told GIVEMESPORT.
“Liverpool could probably use someone like him to replace Salah or if they want to play differently in the future.” I believe he could be a viable option.”
