Liverpool is currently in turmoil. They have only 16 points from 12 league games, which is the same as they had under Roy Hodgson.
The Reds need to improve their midfield, and reports have strongly linked them with Jude Bellingham.
According to today’s edition of The Daily Telegraph (news image provided below), Liverpool’s priority target for 2023 is Bellingham.
According to Chris Bascombe, the Merseysiders wanted to sign Tchouameni during the summer transfer window but were unable to find an adequate replacement, which has cost them dearly.
Bellingham directly contributed 20 goals last season, and his form has been excellent this season as well.
So far, the Three Lions midfielder has scored nine goals and provided two assists in 17 appearances across all competitions.
The 19-year-old midfielder scored a stunning goal against Eintracht Frankfurt over the weekend to give Borussia Dortmund all three points.
Liverpool need a complete star to bolster their aging midfield department, and Bellingham would be the ideal signing.
The major issue for the Liverpool club is that they are struggling to find form and may finish outside the top four this season.
Signing the £50,000-a-week star (The Mail), who has already scored four goals in this season’s CL, will be extremely difficult without Champions League football.
We’ll keep you posted on how the transfer saga plays out.
