This season, the Celta Vigo star has caused quite a stir in Spain, to the point where Romano has dubbed him one of the best young players in the world of football.
Naturally, a number of top teams are considering a move for Veiga, but Liverpool have recently engaged in active discussions about this potential transfer move with the player’s family and friends.
Liverpool and have discussed Veiga Romano disclosed his knowledge of the Celta Vigo player.
“Last week, Liverpool spoke with some of Gabri Veiga’s friends. I really like him, he’s one of the best talents in the world, and he’s more of a quality player than an electric player. Liverpool is one of the teams that is most interested in this player. Despite reports that a deal had already been reached with Newcastle, Liverpool is actually interested in Gabri Veiga. Liverpool has a significant opportunity, and they are debating whether the player is worth the money. Does this meet our needs? said Romano.
Even though Gabri Veiga is a future star, he isn’t quite there yet. Nevertheless, he will be.
Liverpool would be acquiring a very talented midfielder if the deal goes through, but there are concerns about how he would fit into this Jurgen Klopp squad.
Veiga is more of a ‘quality’ player than a workhorse, as Romano points out, and Liverpool’s midfield is at its best when it is stocked with runners rather than deft playmakers.
Veiga will become a superstar in the future, but Klopp’s all-action squad may not be the best fit for him given his technical skill set.
