Arsenal is looking to add another attacking midfielder.
Indeed, according to 90Min, Bitello is now a possibility for the Gunners, and the arrival of the Brazilian could have an impact on one of Arsenal’s current young stars, according to Graeme Bailey.
Since Emile Smith Rowe hasn’t seen much action for the Gunners in the last year, Graeme Bailey said he wouldn’t be surprised in the least if the ‘powerful’ midfielder ended up being loaned out if Bitello is signed this summer.
Smith Rowe might receive a loan.
Bailey made a judgement about the Englishman.
They view him as a jack of all trades, so they wouldn’t necessarily see this Bitello as someone for the future, and he could easily replace a Vieira or a Trossard right away. Will it cast doubt on the future of someone like Smith Rowe? Could he be borrowed out? That wouldn’t shock me,” said Bailey.
Shame
If Smith Rowe does wind up going out on loan this summer, it would be a terrible shame.
The youngster is reportedly performing better than ever in training, and based on reports, Mikel Arteta should give him a chance to succeed next season.
However, if Smith Rowe does end up leaving Arsenal, it would leave us with a bitter taste in our mouths because he really hasn’t done much wrong since breaking onto the scene a few years ago. Of course, you have to be ruthless in this game, especially when you want to win a league title.
Even though Bitello is a great player and a wise acquisition for Arsenal, we can’t help but feel bad for Smith Rowe if this scenario comes to pass.
